La Finca Golf Course is every golfer's dream. With a friendly and accommodating clubhouse, a top quality champion course that's nestled amongst mountains and the coast, it's a true paradise. The climate is one of the best in Europe and even better for playing golf, all year round.

Designed by Don Jose Gancedo in 2002 making it relatively young in years but already developed enough to test the best golfers while still being eminently playable for the beginner. The course is long and there is plenty of water, so a good supply of golf balls and probably a buggy is recommended. Lakes and natural running water abound as do the wildlife and add to this the backdrop of the Mount Escotera and you have a must play golf course for the golf minded traveller.
La Finca is truly a golfing sanctuary and definitely one of Spain's sacred treasures.

The nearly 6500 yard course has been designed for tournaments. The natural setting not only provides majestic views of lakes, trees and mountains but it also challenges and makes the game more exciting, including have to hit a ball on an island green on the fifth.

Facilities

An 18 hole championship golf course, driving range, club house, spacious changing rooms, golf lessons, buggy and trolley hire, golf club hire, shopping centre, five star spa, beach, restaurant, bar, golf shop.

Golf Course

An 18 hole Championship Golf Course of nearly 6500 yards which has wide and generous fairways, giving a good margin of forgiveness to the higher handicaps. The La Finca Golf greens are totally different from each other, of various shapes and unique beauty, the 5th and 6th holes are next to a beautiful lake with several waterfalls on their left side. This lake provides these holes not only with a water hazard, but also an added beauty that complements this already gorgeous course. The 7th hole is completely squared and surrounded by a spectacular bunker and the 14th hole is another of the greens that leave an impression on the memory, round and deep, reminiscent of the shape of a Chinese wok. Golf La Finca also includes its extensive rough that makes communicating to almost every hole of the course.
La Finca Golf since its opening has been host to many prestigious tournaments.

Location

La Finca Golf is located in Algorfa, a typical Spanish town where almost on its doorstep are: 'Blue Flag' beaches, woods, nature reserves, leisure facilities, allowing peace, rest and relaxation.

Lying on the banks of the River Segura. Algorfa is one of the Vega Baja's lush and fertile citrus farming villages. Orange and lemon groves line all roads surrounding the village. Just outside the village, towards the west, on the road to Benejuzar is a graceful and unusual nineteenth century church build in the very popular neo-gothic style. The church can be visited whilst admiring the beautiful green countryside in the fertile valley of the river. The area is well connected to the main roads of the region.

Beaches

Close by is the Orihuela Costa comprising of about 16 km of beautiful sandy beaches, rocky coves and clear sparkling waters, stretching from Punta Prima just south of Torrevieja Spain, which has the stunning Blue Flag Beach of Guardamar to Mil Palmeras. The Orihuela Costa boasts some well known and popular resorts including Cabo Roig, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Punta Prima and Campoamor.

It is now one of the most popular destinations on the Costa Blanca for a summer holiday, attracting visitors from all over Europe. The people of Spain themselves also love this part of the coast, particularly those from the city of Murcia who flock to the Orihuela Costa in August. Holidaymakers are attracted by the wonderful, safe "blue flag" beaches, the warm, sunny climate and the abundance of facilities and entertainment.
