The La Marquesa Golf Club as it is known today was founded and designed by D. Justo Quesada under the name of "Club de Golf Quesada". It was one of the first golf clubs on the Costa Blanca, where countless players, amateur and professionals alike, have enjoyed their favourite game. The course is located in a level valley with a mountainous backdrop, and enjoys a unique micro-climate allowing for year-round play. La Marquesa Golf holds the highest distinction of quality, specific to golf courses – the UNE 188.001 standards. La Marquesa is the first golf course in the Valencian Community to receive the award and the fifth in Spain. The regional Valencian government has awarded La Marquesa the "Q de Calidad Turística" distinction, via the Spanish Institute for Quality Turism. These standards guarantee the fulfilment of the pledge of excellence, achieving grounds in perfect conditions for practising golf, with the maximum respect for the environment.

The golf course has a wide range of services such as a restaurant, café with terraces, a pro golfing shop, a repair shop, club hire, buggy hire, caddy hire, changing rooms with shower, sauna, parking, covered practise green, putting green, chipping area, golf school, beginners golf classes, Espert golf classes, water available on-course, course washrooms, Marshall, Starter. One of the services that La Marquesa Golf are most proud of is their golf school, especially for those who wish to learn more about this fantastic sport. Their master teachers pass on all their knowledge and experience to pupils of all ages and nationalities. Many successful players have begun their career at La Marquesa. The school caters for both group and individual classes. The privileged location of the club house lets you also enjoy the nearby commercial centre, full of shops, supermarkets, banks and a variety of restaurants.

Golf Course

The 18 holes are played comfortably whilst being varied and enjoyable. 
The course, a par 72, has a total distance of 5,098 - 6,115m, and a slop of 130-133. Ramps, blind holes, protected holes, bunkers, streams and two lakes will test your skill with every club in your golf bag. Its extraordinary design makes it challenging but never burdensome as the tees are all close to the greens. Long and short holes combine well, providing chances for recovery, particularly when your card is showing more strokes than you would like. La Marquesa is an ideal course for people of all ages, one that should be enjoyed on foot to get the most out of your round, particularly when faced with a blind shot. - They are the kinds of shots that are daunting at first, but immensely satisfying when you connect well.

Location

La Marquesa Golf is located in the urbanization Ciudad Quesada, 500m from the town centre of Rojales, which is a small municipal town that has a charming village feel to it. It sits on the banks of the River Segura and makes up a stop on the Rio Segura walking and cycling route. It is easy to wander around Rojales as you always come back to the river, with its large waterwheel and friendly ducks! Take the time to explore, maybe visit the artists cave houses or the museum in the church square. Rojales has a water Park - Parque Aquatico, which is open every year during the summer and is most suited to children aged 6-13yrs. It has 4 gentle slides and 2 kamikaze slides, 3 children’s pools, a large swimming pool with free sun beds and parasols, restaurant, cafeteria, lawn area, picnic area and lots of free parking.
Ciudad Quesada is a modern village which has been growing in size since the 1970s. It is very popular with ex pats from all over Europe and is instantly recognisable by the grand entrance known as the Quesada Arches at the bottom of the high street. The high street is full of bars, cafes and restaurants, which offer international food including Spanish, Thai, Indian, Italian, French, Greek and Chinese. There are also a few Steak Houses and Fast Food establishments. It is a real hub and is especially busy in the mornings with people wandering around the interesting little shops and abundance of Chinese Bazaar. The main access via the AP-7 motorway (Alicante-Cartagena) is the most used as it is the main road that connects the North and South Costa Blanca. This motorway is also the main connection to both the Alicante (El Altet) and Murcia (San Javier) airports.

Beaches

La Marquesa is situated 5 Km inland from Guardamar del Segura and the Costa Blanca coastline. Guardamar is renowned for its 12 kilometres of fine sandy beaches. A Promenade with cafes and restaurants, a busy high street full of all kinds of shops as well as a busy market to keep even the most dedicated shoppers happy. You can explore the man-made dunes (created to stop the town from becoming buried in the sand) of the Alfonso Park or picnic under the pines. The Reina Sofia Park is a great place for the children with its floodlit play area and the nearby children's funfair and night market make for a good evening out. Torrevieja’s fine sandy beaches of Playa los Locos, Playa del Cura and Playa Naufragos are a 15 minute drive from Rojales. South of Torrevieja is La Zenia and Cabo Roig beaches and to the North you will find the excellent beaches of La Mata.

Airports

Alicante is a 35 minute drive as is San Javier, Murcia.
